Hello Alex, thanks for watching. I seen your vid’s, nice work, and i here the blade making noise. I think a good start is to share at what wind speed they make the noise at? All wind turbine blades make noise in high winds. Usually messing with blades from a manufactured turbine is not a good idea as they have ben designed for that PMA. However you may want to try a set of windy nation blades. Use the (5) blade smaller set with a large hub. You may sacrafice power by chainging blades.

hi, i saw you on windy nation web site, but i could send my question on that web site. I bought on e bay a very similar turbine the brand its gigu, im in Brazil and we have nice gust at july til december, but the blades it noise and has diferent size and aerodinamic, porr quality, so i am looking for new blades and hub, could you help with that.. I also posted videos. Gongrts for you r projects.

Yes, the roof re supported and approved for the roof mount turbine. The turbines are CE approved and do not have to be UL listed. Some grid tie inverters are non UL. Selling back to the utility company requires a UL inverter. however just supplementing may not, depending on your utlityprovider.

Been watching a lot of these sites, I have a 6 year old H Y energy 400 (wind max now days) that has been bullet proof and keep seeing videos trashing them. Yeah, they are Chinese but so is the engine in your Obammy Bailout GM cars now since 2009! I don’t buy GM but I do buy Ford which has a few Chinese parts in them. If Americans could make the same style and cost turbine I’d buy it. They can’t do that and fight the government red tape I guess.

@Polaraco Hobby No i do not mske them. I do install them. I ran them in Huriicane Sandy until 55 mph winds then shut them down. there is no need to have them run above 40 mph anyway. they make the rated power at 35-40. mph winds. Anymore then that is much wind for me..

  6. Polaraco Hobby says:

You’re making these? I didn’t realize that! Hurricane Sandy would have been a good test. LOL

  7. leamyelectricinc1 says:

Hello, well first you have to determine what size turbine you need/want/budget for. After that is norrowed down, I would look around based on power production needed vs a turbine rated for 70 MPH winds plus that fits your site requirements. I have personally not had to worry about that problem but most turbines that are real wind turbines are rated for higher winds then 70 MPH for a survial speed
.I hope this helps and thanks fror watching

I live on the Oregon coast. We get some serious wind here. I was wondering… What is the best wind turbine to get for these high speed wind conditions? 70 MPH winds (and more) are not uncommon during winter storms. I don’t want to get something that will be destroyed by powerful gusts.

  9. leamyelectricinc1 says:

Great question. No, the system does not produce a noticable RF.

  10. harrygatto says:

Does the system produce any RF interference?

  11. 1assmasher4u says:

Have these been certified by an engineer? Or how about the grid ties?

  12. leamyelectricinc1 says:

Thanks for the advice. All systems are working perfeckly. There is no need to change anything.
    Thanks for watching

try a Rotating Electrical Connector instead of a slip ring.

  14. leamyelectricinc1 says:

These turbines come with a connection point in the collar that rotates with the turbines so the wires do not get twisted. This feature is one of many reasons why they are the best for micro wind, right out of the box, no guess work, no shopping and trying 5 different blades, pma’s ect. Open the box and put them on a tower. Anyway you can find a similar slip ring connector on ebay. Look under”wind turbine” A Co. called Windy Nation also sells them.
    Thanks for watching

  15. kevlauenterprises says:

Very cool… Like the blades. I’m inteerested in how you create the connection where the turbine rotates. My problem is keeping the wires from twisting up and coming up with a good way of avoiding that. Can’t seem to find many plans on that. Thanks for any assistance.

  16. leamyelectricinc1 says:

Thank you. All sites/systems and turbines are all different. I have taken the liberty to show my power output from this system. I am more for an out of the box type turbine, I can tell you these are very good turbines. Please see my other vids. I have video’s documenting my power at what wind speeds.
    Thanks for watching

  17. diegofacundouri says:

that is correct. video are deceiving because we dont know the actual power output. I have my own design wind turbine and the power output is changing from zero to peak but the overall accumulated energy is very low as compared to peak value.

  18. leamyelectricinc1 says:

Thank you for the information. I have seen that video and it is very breakthru tehchnology and so simple.

  19. ewigkase1 says:

    watch?v=ifF-MOuzM_s
you will want to see this video about how a professor in japan has found a way to triple power generated from wind mill’s. the thing i love about it is that it is so simple and basic I think you would like to know.
like your video thank you i subscribed 🙂

  20. leamyelectricinc1 says:

Power curves are deceiving when you compare wind turbines. You may see a highly rated output on the power curve but a low actual energy production because power curves represents only instantaneous WATT/amp output, which is useless in the real world. Wind energy experts recommend using accumulated energy output in KWH over a period of
time to measure the performance of wind turbines.
