  6. Maccan says:

you can make your own solar panels, much cheaper than brand names in the stores. eventually the prices will drop dramatically.

I converted my home into a net-zero solar powered home that uses no oil or gas either…I made a video about it called, “preparing for peak oil”…

  8. solarcabin says:

This system is way overpowered and the house is not designed for efficiency.

My solar system is 350 watts and cost under $3000. Runs all my electricity needs.

For small solar and wind power ideas see solar cabin

so jr sez “how soon do u think it’ll take to PAY ITSELF BACK? and she sez how much they SAVE! ….so just how long to pay back all that big unstated capital expenditure with a carbon footprint the size of godzilla? ….a capex by the way that could’ve alternatively earned interest or bought energy stocks! – anyone for say 30-40 years?

a 10 kw system i would love that. my usage is only 850-1000KHW every 3 months. put that in my backyard.
if only this stuff was cheap.

  12. cdltpx says:

Talk bout tossing money at a problem these guys are doing better that most with respects to energy but they could do so much better. Use laptops for PC, install timers on the LED lights install ceiling fans convert a chest freezer into a fridge 33 degrees, solar h2o heater, install a heat pump. If you are interested in being energy efficient start with a house that is efficient Concrete DOME HOME it is less expensive to use passive solar then you use solar electric to fill in the gaps. THINK!

  13. Kelvin701Lakeland says:

how much does the system cost?

  14. bongomorris says:

We need more information, and if we are able to have that in other countries such as Panama, Central America.
