Need to discuss what happens at night, i.e. is the energy stored during the
day? How? Also need to discuss how to convert solar cell DC voltage into AC
voltage, and how to interface with home/business existing AC power.

Giving people incentives may make them gravitate to using alternative
energy like “wind” or “solar”. There is a company tha’s doing just that,
helping millions financially, while helping the planet. Watch this video on
North American Power at Getting Free Energy (Google it) narrated by Deepak
Chopra. It’s powerful, world changing stuff.

    ★★★★ Thanks, I love solar energy, I’ve built 3 panels… very cheap. I have
    posted the guide…Easy and useful!

take those panels and put them in the basement.first you take a parabolic
solar concentrator and put an robotic arm on it to follow the suns
path.then make the focal point a mirrored shape cone that will send the
light down through mirrored glass tubing straight into a mirrored shape
glass box inside the mirrored shape box will be several solar panels that
spin to keep them cool the mirrored box must have the mirrors inward to
reflect the light sending from the parabolic focal point.ken van horn

The positive and negative symbols are plugged into the electrode rather
than the semiconducting material (the little red globules). If the symbols
were in the semiconducting material, then the animation would be incorrect.

Oh my goodness. Why does everyone get this wrong? The top layer is N-type,
doped with phosphorus (extra electrons) … thus making it negative (NOT
POSITIVE). The bottom layer is P-type, doped with boron (missing electrons)
… thus making it positive (NOT NEGATIVE). Google “p-type is positive” and
you’ll get thousands of hits, “p-type is negative” give what … 9? 99% of
wafers are P-type … this is the substrate, the bottom, which thus is
POSITIVE. Gee whiz videographers …get it right!

This was a very informative video! A company called Txsolergy serving

  27. Ron Miller says:

You’re way behind the times Nancy. Even 9 months ago when you posted, it
was far cheaper to buy commercially manufactured solar panels than to make
your own and it’s illegal to connect homemade solar panels to the grid
anyway. You’ll never get your permits. Plus homemade solar panels have no
warranty and will only last 2 or 3 years because of the way that they’re
constructed. Only a fool would try to make their own panels at today’s
under a $1.00 a watt prices. Payback today is way under 4 years

I may be naive in asking this. But is full spectrum solar close to a
    reality?

  31. Kanaga Gnana says:

Please Google “FULLSPECTRUM Catches all the sun’s rays” FULLSPECTRUM is
developing cells which are able to capture and exploit the entire solar
spectrum. The project has already created cells with an efficiency of 37.6
per cent. The cells are now being tested on an industrial scale in large
pilot plants, paving the way for cheaper solar power
