I’m a bit confused. Why do you begin by saying the four panels were $700,
then later say all four panels were $700 and you can cut that in half,
$350? Did I miss something. Thanks

I’ve been thinking of going solar, BUT, after much research, the cost, the
dirt, the snow, the heat, the clouds all tells me NO to solar. IF I was in
an area where no power is available to me, then I’d reconsider. I can pay
for my entire electric bill for 11 years for what a solar system would cost
me to do a decent amount of solar. — battery bank, solar panels,
electronics, wiring costs, etc. I’m gonna pass on this. From all of your
vids, You have a very nice installation though.

Use a 120 volt battery system with a 120 volt DC to AC converter for best
results

The water he wastes cleaning the solar panals sure makes his environmental
efforts seem wasted lol

whats the point of choosing 24v over 12v systems? Im just starting to get
into this and learning! Ive also noticed most to grid adapters have either
a 120v or 230v option, why is there two and whats the best one and which is
preferred?

their needs to be more room underneath the panels for heat dissipation

I’m thinking testing water cooling PV panels ( tubes to the back) that will
also heat water,, Ever felt swimming pool solar panels? they are cool to
the touch on a baking hot day but the water is entering the pool at 100 or
so..

Before buying solar panels, always see sort of considerations such as its
durability and if it suits your house or the location where your solar
panels will be set up.

Do we get federal rebate regardless of grid tie or off grid? Does it matter
if I apply for incentives without getting the system installed?
I need about 10kw system to go free of monthly bill. If I purchase the
system from xyz solar supplier will I get all the rebates? Granted I won’t
get rebates from local utility company since I will be off grid.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks.

No disrespect but your panels should be on rails. This would keep them
farther off the roof, this will give you more air flow, the panels would be
cooler and produce more power. Plus you would have less holes in your roof.
All and all you have a nice system.
