I’m new to replacing dc jacks, so I wanted to know the answer what’s
probably a simple, silly question. I’ve seen parts with and without the
harness/cable. In one that I need to repair, it’s only the jack’s plastic
bits that needs replacing. I don’t need to get a whole new cord with it
too, do I? I have no idea if the cables can snap on/off or if that needs
soldered back on as well. I’ve seen different things for different cords,
so I’m lost.

what’s that weird marker thing you sorta ran over the new terminals after
you put in the new jack?
