um…maybe because most of the areas that have potential for dams already have dams? And also because dams are not nearly as environmentally friendly as windmills or solar panels. They cause flooding, which can destroy habitats and disrupt migration patterns. It’s certainly not the way of the future.

Hydro! Why is water driven turbines never mentioned? No wind noise, 24 hour power, clean as it gets. Different climates need different solutions but a hydro plant in the Mississippi river was built by the town of Vidalia Louisiana in the Seventies. Co-op. Cheap power and plenty of it, nothing dirty.

Dude you don’t what youre talking about. I was a jet engine mechanic for 20 years where started in the the U.S. Navy. It is a difficult job to assemble jet aircraft and to work on them.
The people that build the Boeing jets in Seattle do a great job, Boeing want to move away from them because of the unions.
We have great American companies that don’t use the UAW and they are BMW, Mercedes, Honda, Toyota and Hyundai. Fuck the UAW.

The main Boeing plant will remain in Seattle, where they can be sure their fine quality aircraft parts will continue to be built by the competent union professionals who’ve made Boeing the world’s leading aircraft manufacturer for nearly a century. The minimum wage hillbillies in SC are only going to assemble some of the parts for the second 787 assembly line. Even a chimpanzee can assemble parts that have been designed and made by competent union professionals.

Unbelievable commentary and application of history coming the the President of the USA. Columbus never proved to anyone that the world was spherical. Everyone knew that. The controversy of the time was the size of the earth. Columbus thought it was 1/6th of the actual size so that a westward voyage to the Indies would be feasible. But he was wrong, and would have ended up dead if he didn’t happen upon the Americas.
Obama’s energy analysis is as accurate and astute as his analysis of history.
