Very cool solar setup. Nice bus too. I have 8 100 watt panels that are
grid tied now at my house (see my video) im planning on selling the house
and moving to Quartzsite where my sister lives, and set up a camper at her
house (she has nice RV hookups at the house) Im gonna take the panels w me
and set them up there in to use in the camper.

Thanks very much for all the great information. Just found your site.
Can’t wait to look through all you videos. Wondering if you went with 100W
panels on the roof due to size? Seems like 250W panels would fit. Just
wondering. Especially loved the information on the Victron battery monitor
although the info on not using propane, lithium batteries was great too.
So much great information it would be hard to choose a favorite. Thanks
again.

Very nice set up, you are lucky that you have so much basement storage for
the ancillary equipment. I really like the graphical display unit.

even a smallish ac can draw 15a, just how long can you run ac on batts?
What was the investment in solar panels? Nice system. I travel about 90
days a year but must admit I want full hook up, pool, store, propane
available and in a perfect world 55 and over. In my RV club we have what
we call campers and RV’rs, I am definitely an RV’er……so call me a wimp.
I can still appreciate a well designed system that works.

What you need is a rooftop solar panel system that can run Two Air
Conditioners and cool your coach in 120 degree heat.

Your PVC frame is totally inadequate for withstanding any kind of wind
load. Replace it with a heavy duty aluminum frame. Wind load can be
calculated as:
0.00256 x Area (sqft) x V x V
where V is the wind speed. Your frame would see about 100 lb in 33 mph
winds, 250 lb in 50 mph (read gust).

Thank you for all the info and resources you make available! Always learn
something and enjoy seeing the lifestyle I hope to do one day. I have a
camper for recreation and this one hits right on for upgrading my beginner
Harbor Freight solar panel kit so nowhere to go but up! Your mobile office

Great video’s and not way over the average persons head. I installed 2
rigid panels on my RV fifth wheel a few years back but didn’t use them
much. So off they came for a idea I had. A solar Canoe…The 2 rv panels
are installed now and soon will have 2 more panel “Flex 100 grape mono” in
a few months that slide out under the 2 rigid panels the idea is a solar
boat and mobile generator for the RV when not using the boat. Have a look
and would love some feed back from knowledgeable folks like yourselves 🙂

I just found your channel. Thank you both for sharing this wealth of
knowledge. You guys are great together, it sure seems like you are living
the dream!
I built out a bus in 1999 to 2000 and let it go for a new 5th wheel in 07.
That was on of the biggest mistakes I’ve ever made. The fiver fell apart in
a year and a half. I would kill to have my old bus again!! I am green with
envy, most folks don’t understand what you guys have and it’s capacities!
I’m in a class A now, but can’t wait to build another one from scratch!
SEE YA ON THE ROAD!
