This is not the only part of a full self sufficiency program including Wind?Solar energy batteries more efficient appliances including ON DEMAND water heaters not big storage tanks and also compartmentalized air conditioning (a very small wall unit in each room to keep it cooled) The solar can be used at the same time to heat some of your water and create steam for pure water source. Or a solar powered pump and filtration unit would work. google: HHO

Solar Power isn’t quite the “AFFORDABLE” bull crap you here about. After you spend 5-6k, you will get around 60-75 dollars less in your light bill. some get a little more… Do your math.. how long would you have to wait to start making a profit? at 75 dollars saved, you would have to wait about 6-7 years before you can START to cry affordable.
Sounds like a Gimick to me.
