72 Meter wingspan? Wow. That’s just crazy but This flight is more symbolic
which is more important

Let’s hope these become commercial. An excellent idea to prevent Co2
emissions and help our environment from global warming.

Not exactly a sunny day. On sunny days it can suffice with less wing
surface, and go faster. I hope solar cell tech advances. It’s not there
yet!

Great, something new for the U.S government to stick cameras on and spy on
the world with.

Cant help thinking they should’ve involved Elon Musk somewhere in the
design stage.

Quite gloomy day for a solar plane to take off, I hope it wasn’t its last
flight.

how are we supposed to one day have flying cars when reading the comments
we all sound like we’re scared of technology.

0:31 heli seems to fly faster sideways than the plane goes forward.

Permanent endurance drone or relay platform for cell phone, or sat tv. Yes,
a solar powered drone silently soaring at 65K feet safely above air
traffic, can stay on for years. Cheap too. No need for satelites or launch
rockets. Can be launched from any point on Earth and fly to station area
over sea in international airspace. Made from ultra light weight carbon
nanotubes its inherently low observable without high tech stealth
materials.
