If you had drawn your lines for corner to corner you would have been nearer
to centre, and would not have had to measure. Good video.

I watched the whole thing and am interested in how to harness power from
the wind turbine. I realize that this is something like a squirrel cage
design.I live in a city that is windy all year round in Texas. We have some
very strange rules/laws about putting up a pole in a back yard to set one
up. My shed’s roof is where I plan to mount it.

It sure would be nice if all the home projects on here would include data.
torque, watts, something. How much power will it generate. Who wants to
spend a couple of weekends on a project like this without at least a clue
as to how much power you ARE (not would or could) getting out of it.

You can find the center by using something straight like a t-square and a
marker to connect the opposite corners to make a big X instead of measuring
and using a +.

the bird griner factor drops considerably in the VAWT. everyone can manage
this. and if you are a complete noob, i am sure you have a tech savy friend
who can help. after seeing American Blackout, the home energy generator
which needs no fuel appears to be of paramount importance in today’s age of
possible catastrophies.

Good clean way to keep essential communication systems and servers powered
(using modern Thin Client PCs).

do you realize that there is nearly 1000 years worth of coal left on the
earth? its not that were going to run out anytime soon, its that it burns
so dirty…

It’s probably easier to find the centers with an X made of two diagonal
lines, from each corner to the opposite corner.

Very good idea provided you have the wind to turn the vawt. What would you
use to generate the electricity? DC generator, geared alternator? Keep the
videos coming DS

I’d still prefer doing this technique with a bandsaw. Bit safer.

By the way – nuclear is not clean @ ALL! AGAIN=some of the containers are
leaking now, and they have no way to fix them! = who knows what the long
term affect will be?! Check out the NWASTE FACILITY leak in upper Columbia
river! Very VERY BAD THING!!! And that doesn’t even speak of the cost/risk
to run, build, maintain, just 1 plant! How is it not going to work on our
grid?! That’s foolish hyperboly. Think. If that was true.. you couldn’t
sell your overage back ON OUR GRID! I am an electrician.

sweet, sexy, and a great personality. I would have married her too if I
were you!
