    yes it would.

    Thanks for your reply
In your system at the time of the video I think you mentioned a mini grid tie invertor?
Does that do the same trick with the meter that a full grid tie in would?

  3. nx2overide says:

if you are running a grid tie inverter yes, if 0 electricity is used in the home the meter would go backwards.

    Great video, thanks for posting.
Have been throwing lots of ideas about, and your vid series is a big help in refining these.
A bit confused as to your partial grid tie. Say your batteries are fully charged, and you are using NO power within the house! would this run your electric meter bachwards, or what happens to the solar power produced, does this go back to grid.
Sorry if you have covered this already, but it does intrigues me.

    Thanks again. Keep it going

have you looked into hydrogen boosters for cars? seems like you’d like that. there are many different ways people make them. who knows which isɜ most powerful. i’d like to make ome that runs off water without the additive potassium hydroxide if that’s the correct one.

What books can you recommend for learning about solar power.
MY camp is no power, unless I use generator.
My needs are basic 12V lighting and charging of DC type devices, with maybe 2 60W AC power drainers thru an inverter?
Any thoughts on how I can get the max. amount of led or flourescent 12V lamps hooked into a 1 or 2 deep cycle marine battery setup. Or how to prevent the batteries from freezing in -20Fº winter months if no ones home. Also have no heat unless I’m tending a wood fire.

Hey man i really impress by your solar panel system setup

Where can i get a complete equipments like yours to start my own solar power system. And i need beginners manual as well. I’m enough with the electricity company keeps increasing their bills every year…i need to get out from their service before i got f**ked up by them

its a Coleman Air charge controller I’m not sure if they are making this version any longer but most of the other units have a dump relay. I paid about $140.00 just Google Coleman Air charge controller! Hope this helps.

Hey where did you get that charger and how much was it if you don’t mind me asking. That pole mount works good don’t it.well thanks and your solar is looking good.keep up the good work Lamar tosh

@spgfld1903 When I initially installed the system I was saving 30 to 50 dollars a month. I am saving more as my whole system has been revamped & I’m generating free heat with passive solar heating now. I’m now building this system to be an off grid system my estimated cost will be around 30,000 total. At the point I made this video..It’s not a true off the grid system but i could power lights fans and computers via the batteries when the grid went down for several hours.

I’m glad you are saving a bunch of money with this solar panel stuff!

  19. Luke Keeno says:

wow that’s mental that your power keeps dropping out! What’s that all about?
is the power infrastructure all screwed or are the powerstations in trouble?

that’s amazing that you’re setting up your own system though. well done mate!

  20. nx2overide says:

    sure thing!!

  21. Scott Martin says:

Can you make a list of everything i would need to make one like yours plese

  22. nx2overide says:

Yes eventually I want to get to that stage, but I have a long way to go. Its not a hard thing to do its just expensive. If you have a really nice grid tie system but you have to get an electrician to install a big one, well that and have a lot of panels..

  23. nx2overide says:

Thanks, Im not electrician by any stretch of the imagination but I tried to make it look neat and use the best wiring for the job. Yep cutting the bills is going to really help me get a lot of stuff done with the house.

  24. ChangedTheWorldToday says:

are you planning to eventually set up so that your system can feed energy back to the power company once you have surplus? Ive heard of people getting checks from the power company that way… wondered how hard it was to do…

  25. mettanc says:

this looks really great, u set it up in a way that looks real profesional. man, i would love to have a lower bill.
