So, at the end of the video you talk about plugging this into your outlets
in the house. I’m assuming this panel plugged in will provide some of the
load in the house then, but do you need to have some type of tie in to the
grid to get any money back? Or is this about just using panels for your
needs without worries or concerns about selling excess to the utility? Tx.

Hello there. Where did you purchase this rollable panel and which model or
name brand is it? I bought 100 watt panels and they only put out 60 watts.
I made a couple videos. They aren’t as good as yours, but with practice
hopefully I can get them better.

Those are actually flexible RV solar panels intended for the tops of RVs
but will suffice in other places where the sun shines. I have 2 90w each on
my minivan roof. You can’t even tell they are on.

Who makes the rollable solar panel? Do you have the website for this
company?

@mikethemoneymaker If you can find me a fossil energy investment that
repays itself in 6 years on today’s stock market, then I’ll agree – solar
is expensive. Until that time, I’ll stay with the idea that an investment
that can pay itself off, and start earning money in under 8 years, is
pretty darn good…

@venicestu Nothing more than a product review for one solar panel
available. Up to us individually to decide if it’s a suitable product for
our needs.

@Petawatt ok it is 84 bucks a month right, say your stuff cost 6000= low
end 7 years return on investment then your solar panel degrade and you have
to buy more and your hit stars over. They are starting to get better in
price but right now there just no fesable for your average joe which is who
needs the money savings on power.
Petawatt says:

@kdknitro 12 cents * 24 panels on the roof * 30 days = $86.4 which is a
large chunk of my monthly power bill. You’ve just got to figure out your
total return on investment, your “break even” point, and be pretty sure you
are planning to stay put in your home for a few years. In most cases,
however, you can enroll in a wealth transfer scam that gives you tax
credits for investing in solar.

@chop98 “exploring alternative energy leads to the ability to free one’s
self from the clutches of “the man”. Give ’em the boot!” Exactly correct 🙂
+ innovation and better economy. Not only solar panels but ever more home
manufacture too, 3d printers like rep rap + web connectivity & copyleft
hardware like arduio, mean we can do industry without bosses too.. just
smartest ideas people like and need win. No profit except respect, good
vibes & a better saner & greener world & economy for all.

@tekknorat i agree with his comment, but solar panels have a lifespan after
which you have to get new ones! So, its the same as paying the corporation,
minus the convenience. The only reason you would get solar panels is if you
were in a remote location, or have extra money to spend and want to go
‘green’er

Hey, great video. These panels inspired an idea for building a solar
tracker using these panels, but do you know how much they weigh? Thanks.
