First, you need some photovoltaic cells (those things that convert sunlight to energy). You can actualy make your own photovoltaic cells by going down to the hardware or craft store and buying small sheets of copper, cutting the copper in half, and placing one half on a single burner and waiting for it to cook. However, these cells have very, very, very low output, not even enough to run a single LED light; not even worth it to be honest.
If you opt to buy your photovoltaic cells, you will get much better output. Once you figure out the photovoltaic cells, you need to place those cells in a frame and wire them together. It’s pretty straightforward really. Here are a couple of links you will find helpful….
