Austin-based Solar Community and Houston-based energy giant Reliant Energy have teamed up to offer a new financing option for solar electric power systems. The Reliant Solar Leasing(SM) program is designed to make solar energy easy and affordable. Homeowners installing residential solar panels can now choose between a monthly payment plan or a prepay option.
The Reliant Solar Leasing Program provides turn-key solar energy systems with free monitoring and a twenty year power production guarantee. Each system is custom designed and tailor fit for each customer’s location, budget and electrical consumption habits. The Solar Lease program offers “Sell-Back Plans” which allow customers to get credit for the unused portion of solar power they generate, and thereby lower their electric bills.
