Yikes! I hope no one else uses this method. UL listed mc4 connectors cost a
few dollars. Where DC current is concerned, Cheap = Danger.

you have to use 6 awg wire to conect your solar panels together

they use split nuts wraped in rubber tape and electrical tape to connect
power to homes and business all the tlme exposed to directly sun and the
elements seems to work with out problems. my connection are protected far
better than that.

You asked for advice on your video or suggestions… that’s what I did.
What you have and the example you gave in most of the US is NOT up to code.
Just letting you know… and while it may work, I can see a lot of things
that “may” happen that could be dangerous and cause issues… though they
are not everyday occurrences, 90% of the code is for things that “may” but
hardly ever happen. Just trying to help.
