Steam, Wind, Or Solar Powered Project?

Question by mitchell c: Steam, Wind, Or Solar Powered Project?
For my science class me and a partner have to build a device powered by either wind steam or solar power. The device can do anything. But we want to have the biggest, Coolest project in the whole class! So got any ideas??

here is a link that will show you how to build Hero’s steam toy…use this to operate a fan which will move the air in a solar heated chamber.

You could also add a reed switch and magnet to the can an a couple of led’s so when the can spins the mag reed switch closes and the lights flash …Find a lot of bells and whistles as far as that goes you could even play a very cool wind chime tune….with the fan blade…So my hint is go for all three …nothing works better in science than the BUCKSHOT method of scientific discovery…In the military they generally make things so complicated that no one person actually know enough about the subject to become an expert…Good luck with the projects…from the E…

  1. yaktur says:

Build a steam-powered UFO. Or a solar powered flashlight.

  2. Rinaldi says:

A Zeppelin would be very nice I think. It could try to be in the same place measuring the velocity and direction of the wind and canceling it with motors powered by solar light. Or use the solar power to warm the air inside of the Zeppelin, or generate steam to keep the Zeppelin up. Or could even use the wind power to do it.
