I really enjoyed your video and your presentation was very professional and
informative. How do you think the panel would do if you were caught in a
hail situation. Do you know it there would be a protective cover that
could be popped into place if something like that were to come up? We get
some hail storms now and again and I was thinking it would be rough on
them.

Scott, I’m going to add to the 200 watt on my coach…Friends have told me
I need 400 watts at Yuma. Do I just splice into the existing feeds?

Scott good video great job, I have one question the 2 batteries that you
have hooked to the solar panel do those batteries also hook to a generator,
or do you not use a generator? Thank you Joe

This was a good video. May I ask what material your trailer roof is made
of? Did you have to locate any rafters to drill the panel to? Is the roof
plywood underneath the exterior?

This is edited very well. Consistent, very easy to understand, and almost
feels as if I’m watching Ask this Old House or something similar. YouTube
needs more content creators such as yourself.

Fabulous video and you are a wonderful teacher. Thank you for the
explanation and tips below on inverters and running the air conditioner and
refrigerator. I called my husband in to watch this. We are buying an RV
and my question to you would be… is it better to put a custom system in
ourselves or just purchase the one that comes with the RV? Thanks again.

Excellent video, really helpful. I’m planning on a solar panel myself and
this video you created is just the ticket to get me motivated. One question
is your battery(s) a deep cycle, a 12V or just what sort are you using.

And what are the screws anchoring into? The paneling, or studs?

This is a great video, thanks for being so detailed! I’m considering
purchasing and older RV (1973 Dodge Liberator) that still in pretty decent
shape and would like to put solar panels on it. Do you think it would be
worth installing them on such an old vehicle?

I must commend you on your presentation …. I’m very familiar with both
12V and 110 V Systems, just not familiar with campers/rvs so I am
researching stuff before buying, ran across your video and clicked play. I
LOVE the comment you had for the fusing ….. NEVER take chances with DC
power, ALWAYS fuse it, otherwise you may become a fire statisitic as there
is no limit to the current you can draw from a battery …. it is dangerous
enough with the fuse, I shudder to think about an unfused battery circuit.
Good for you for not listening to others ….. sizing electrical
components is the same thing …. I always buy bigger than I must have,
usually I only want to tax a component by 50 to 75% of its rated capacity.
If I need 1000 Watts inverted, I’d use a 2000W inverter, minimum Stuff
runs cooler that way and less possibility of failure ….. , of course,
though there is a point where oversizing does get ridiculous (and costly).
Good looking system you put in, well done!!

I’m totally disappointed after watching your YouTube video.
After subscribing to you I’m at a loss.
You need to make more videos. You’re refreshing, entertaining, down to
earth and a wizzard at explaining.
Hope you make more so I won’t stay disappointed.
