Have you ever tried connecting a USB battery (AA, AAA) charger to it to see
if it will recharge those batteries? I have the Goal Zero Nomad 7 with
Guide 10+ battery charger. I was just wondering if this eBoot charger would
charge AA and/or AAA batteries using that Guide 10+ kit. Thanks for posting
yet another great review.

so i have read the product’s description and the part about the direct sun
seems a bit ambiguous in that i think it might be referring to you as a
person not getting over exposed in the burning sun. i will admit that it
could be a heat issue though so it would likely still work well in cooler
weather. Also to prevent a comment argument i am just saying the
description of the product seems unclear about if it is talking about
people or the product being in direct sun.

Hola Luke. Absolutely, an excellent backup gear. I own the poweradd 7200mAh
solar charger and is an amazing power supply. Adios.

This looks like another cool piece of traveling gear. I could see clipping
this or otherwise attaching it to the top case on the bike and just use it
to top off a cell phone or headset while on the road. For $28, that’s
probably one of the cheaper ones I’ve ever seen.

Thanks for sharing this review, your testing of the solar panel is
especially helpful because you can never really seem to get a real answer
on that from any company literature. Great looking unit for the
price…I’ve been looking into this and similar devices and your video was
very helpful. Thanks!

Thanks Luke. This was one of the chargers I have been looking at for my
walk around Lake Michigan. I need one that can charge my camera batteries
and Iphone daily.

Try AMPY its uses Kinetic Energy as you walk around and from general
movements its charge itself no need for sun 10,000 steps for 3 hours of
smartphone time

im in the market for a solar charger. My concern with this on my pack
would be that it would bounce around and not be in the sun because only one
side of it collects energy.

Great timing. I’m in the market for one of these.

Hey Luke, you plan another video on this of the charger being used in
action? I was looking into one of these a couple weeks ago and still am,
not a bad price for them on Amazon either!

MSS Bivy & Arctic Bag. Little hot in summer but perfect in winter. Better
than packing both bags. Thanks

A 5000 mAh backup for $29 is great… The “solar” charger part is like
“meh” but better have a really weak “solar” alternative for emergency than
not have one at all. Definitelly worth it
– Thanks Luke 😉

Those thing are good, but I will stick with my WeatherX. Flashlight,
AM/FM/WB Radio with a Mobile phone charger
Dynamo hand-crank power. It will put a full charge on my phone, in a bout 5
minutes.
